The Sun, the Dads, the colour

What a glorious day it was on Sunday. The sun shone and shone and didn’t stop, which was lovely for buyers and sellers alike.

It was also Fathers Day and there were a great number of Dad’s who made there way with their families in tow to come and check out the markets.

Can we say, HOW STUNNING all of the stalls looked on Sunday. The colour and energy from the stall holders was amazing. There were loads of new products, everyone is going to a great amount of artistic effort to fill their stalls with new and exciting things for buyers.

It was great to see a range of new stallholders as well as the very supportive regulars.

Pickn’ Oakum entertained out the front – they always put on a great performance.

A big thanks to those who helped with the cake and coffee stall on Sunday. Wonderful volunteers manned the stall and the proceeds went towards Jesse’s quest for an Assistance Dog (http://www.jesse.org.nz/). Nearly $2000 was raised in a raffle of Devonport Craft Market goodies (thank you SO much to all of you who donated your wonderful wares) and Wanda of Ikes Emporium did an incredible job selling most of the raffle tickets. There were lots of others out there working hard to make it all work and a particularly big thank you goes out to all of you who bought raffle tickets. It will be absolutely wonderful to see Jesse out with Doug the Dog when he arrives in less than a fortnight.

October next and the countdown to Christmas begins!

Stay well, happy crafting and see you soon
